Job summary

Surbana Jurong Group is seeking an AI Software Engineer to design and deliver production AI-enabled applications across our core business lines. You will own the full SDLC, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship reliable software and scalable AI solutions.

The role requires strong Python, REST APIs, cloud deployment, and containerisation experience, plus hands-on work with LLM APIs and vector databases. Familiarity with LangChain or frontend tech is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven track record shipping production software in real operating conditions.
• Strong Python proficiency with REST APIs, cloud deployment and containerisation.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and vector databases.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, testing, and production operations.
• Nice to have experience with agentic orchestration frameworks and frontend tech.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end AI-powered applications and retrieval pipelines.
• Own the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Integrate LLM APIs, vector databases, and retrieval augmentation in production.
• Evaluate AI models and production performance, iterating on data-driven metrics.
• Own CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, observability, and secure cloud deployment.
• Contribute reusable components and standards to the AI platform.
• Collaborate with business teams and AI PMs, communicating progress and risks.
