Job summary

Micron Technology in Singapore seeks a Smart Systems Engineer to advance AI-enabled system solutions in a semiconductor manufacturing environment, spanning HBM, Component Assembly and Test, and SSD operations.

You will define software specs, develop and support software throughout the life cycle, mentor peers, and drive AI-driven efficiency while collaborating with business users and IT to meet requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, CS, or Computing.
• Familiar with AI technologies and tools (M365 Copilot); experience in AI agent creation is a plus.
• Proficient in programming (Python, C#, ASP.NET, SQL, Angular, HTML).
• Knowledge of databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake).
• Strong SDLC understanding and software development methodologies.
• Familiar with collaborative tools like GIT.
• Excellent analytical, logical, and communication skills.
• Growth mindset and continuous learning; semiconductor internship/experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide system solutions to reduce manufacturing cost and cycle time while improving yield and quality.
• Explore new systems including AI analytics and automation to boost efficiency.
• Plan and improve user interaction by analyzing application performance and UX.
• Build user interfaces with data-driven insights for accessible, intuitive use.
• Develop and maintain software using Micron-approved languages and tools.
• Identify gaps and adopt AI technologies to enhance existing systems.
• Lead projects, define requirements with business users and IT, and implement improvements.
• Coordinate, build, and maintain health of databases; establish backups and procedures.
• Own enterprise applications as system lead for availability and performance.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to peers.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work with responsible usage and standards compliance.
• Promote continuous improvement by sharing AI-enabled enhancements.
