Job summary

Micron Technology Singapore is seeking an aspiring engineer to apply data science to complex production problems. The Planning SIC Engineer will oversee Micron’s advanced production line, identifying opportunities for improvement and communicating line direction for inventory scheduling.

You will collaborate with multiple departments to optimize scheduling rules, develop reports, and create visualizations. Proficiency in Python and SQL, plus a passion for AI literacy and continuous learning,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering or Science is required.
• Proficiency in Python (Pandas/matplotlib/numpy/scipy.stats) for data ingestion, statistical analysis, charting, and optimization is a plus.
• Proficiency in SQL and Tableau is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable.
• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production line to identify and communicate opportunities for improvement.
• Site inventory improvement through analytics, scheduling optimization and breakthrough reporting capabilities.
• Write Python and SQL based programs to support application development in scheduling optimizer.
• Collaborate with other engineering departments to improve overall line inventory performance through business process improvement, scheduling logic development, as well as setting up analytical reports and indices.
• Create visualization and reporting capabilities to monitor line inventory health.
• Integrates AI‑assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI‑enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
