Job summary

Autodesk Singapore invites applications for a Software Engineer in Test to join the AutoCAD Engineering team at our R&D Centre. You will collaborate with product owners, software engineers, architects, UX teams, and stakeholders to validate functionality, API compatibility, stability, performance, and customer workflows across AutoCAD products.

You will apply software engineering principles, automation, and AI-assisted quality engineering techniques to raise product quality and engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline with strong academics or relevant work experience.
• 0–2 years of experience in software development, software testing, quality engineering, or related areas.
• Strong programming and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar coding assistants.
• Basic understanding of software QA principles, testing methodologies, and SDLC practices.
• Familiarity with automated testing concepts and test automation frameworks.
• Understanding of OOP, software design, patterns, data structures, and algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Design test strategies, create test plans, and execute manual and automated tests to validate new features and product workflows.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for unit, functional, API, integration, and end-to-end validation.
• Build and enhance automation frameworks, tools, and testing infrastructure.
• Estimate, plan, schedule, and coordinate software testing tasks; execute test plans to validate product features.
• Use AI tools to generate and improve test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
• Review and validate AI-generated code, tests, and specifications for quality and correctness.
• Participate in SDLC, TDD, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Perform API, performance, interoperability, and code coverage testing.
• Investigate defects, analyze root causes, and collaborate on issue resolution.
• Continuously improve engineering productivity, testing practices, and product quality.
• Join Beta programs and QA-driven customer events, including mass testing efforts.
