Job summary

Shopee is seeking an R&D Data & Insights Intern to support data, reporting and applied AI initiatives that drive leadership decisions and operational efficiency.

You will migrate reports, validate data, prepare monthly performance insights, and build POCs for LLM-powered tools to automate workflows. This paid internship offers hands-on experience in analytics and AI applications in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Python.
• Interest in applied AI, LLMs, or automation; exposure to LLM APIs or AI workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support migration of management reports into an enterprise platform and shape data use across teams.
• Validate metrics and proactively identify data issues for accuracy.
• Prepare monthly performance reports and translate data into insights for leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting and automate workflows.
• Build proofs-of-concepts for LLM-powered tools or agents to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Experiment with prompt design, tool integration, and basic agent workflows.
• Contribute to data and AI projects to enhance analytics and reporting tools.
• Provide support on other tasks assigned by the reporting manager.
