Job summary

Micron is seeking a Global Planning Modeling Engineer to act as a central contact for the Manufacturing network, calculating and presenting capital impacts of process changes to senior leaders. You will connect Manufacturing, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Procurement and Production to drive cost-saving and optimization initiatives across Micron.

You will develop tools and AI-enabled insights to improve planning and reporting across the global network, ensuring accurate capacity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or business/quantitative field (Finance, Economics or similar). MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience turning sophisticated and ambiguous problem statements into structured solutions while working in a highly multi-functional environment.
• Experience operating independently while maintaining a high degree of organization, control and change.
• At least 2 years experience in Semiconductor Capacity Planning.

Responsibilities

• Optimize capacity of install equipment and lead sites and tool level optimization studies for efficiency improvement.
• Collaborate with partners to understand future tool and process roadmaps, and calculate network capacity impacts of process changes.
• Complete financial analysis before new capital equipment is purchased including metrics optimization, process flexibility, capacity sharing and equipment repurpose.
• Verifying capacity modeling accuracy to avoid any surprises after the IE bottom-up estimation process.
• Driving Balance on minimize Capital Spend vs Maximize Demand satisfaction
• Manage and communicate improvement opportunities for existing constraints and drive implementation plans
• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one's scope of work.
