Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is offering an Assembly Output and Yield Optimization internship in Singapore for five months (Jan–May 2027). You will study semiconductor assembly processes, apply engineering methods, and identify process variations to improve output, yield, product quality, and cost.

You will also explore AI-enabled workflows to accelerate data analysis and problem solving. Under supervision, you will develop an experimental plan, collect data, perform statistical analysis, and prepare

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic knowledge of engineering statistics, experimental planning, or Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint for engineering analysis and communication.
Interest in applying Generative AI/Agentic AI/AI Assistant tools to engineering analysis and productivity.

Responsibilities

Identify assembly process factors that influence output, yield, product quality, reliability, and manufacturing cost.
Develop an experimental plan and conduct controlled evaluations to determine factors affecting assembly output and yield.
Apply data analytics to evaluate results and formulate improvement opportunities.
Propose data-driven improvements and monitor effectiveness against defined indicators.
