Job summary

GovTech is seeking a Project Engineer to support the AI and Digitalisation Centre (AIDC) in Singapore. The role focuses on building AI-enabled and automation-driven solutions, reusable technical assets, and demonstration platforms while advancing research, testing and documentation.

You will contribute to workflows, APIs and deployment patterns, and participate in knowledge management, testing, and implementation guidance for internal digital tools and systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in software development, systems integration, automation, digitalisation or technical project implementation.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Java.
• Familiarity with web apps, APIs, databases, dashboards, cloud services or on-prem systems.
• Basic knowledge of AI concepts and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI, automation, software, and digitalisation solutions for AIDC.
• Build reusable assets, proof-of-concept templates, dashboards, and deployment patterns.
• Conduct technical research, testing, benchmarking and experimentation on AI and digitalisation tech.
• Support internal digitalisation projects including workflow automation and reporting.
• Maintain development, test and demo environments and documentation.
• Assist with planning, testing and continuous improvement for internal initiatives.
