Job summary

Dimerco Express Group is seeking an AI/LLM-focused software developer to design, implement, and optimize AI-enabled applications supporting global shipping and logistics operations.

You will collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Finance to identify automation opportunities, translate requirements into scalable tech solutions, and deliver high-quality software on schedule.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of software/application development experience; relevant project or internship experience will also be considered.
• Good knowledge of Python, with exposure to NumPy, Pandas, or scikit-learn.
• Practical exposure to AI/LLM applications, including LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or RAG.
• Working knowledge of Vue.js/Vue 3, TypeScript, C# .NET Web API, and MS SQL Server will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, APIs, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and apply AI and automation to real-world business processes.
• Experience or knowledge in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or contract logistics will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance AI-enabled applications to support Dimerco's business and logistics operations.
• Work with business users across Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, to understand business processes and identify opportunities for AI/LLM-driven automation.
• Gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into practical and scalable technology solutions.
• Assess the feasibility of AI solutions and recommend suitable technologies, tools, and implementation approaches.
• Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into new and existing applications and business workflows.
• Research emerging AI technologies and develop proof-of-concepts to evaluate their practical application to Dimerco's business processes.
• Prepare BRS, TRS, RTM, solution designs, and technical documentation in accordance with Dimerco IT standards.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams, business users, and external vendors to develop, test, implement, and deliver solutions within agreed timelines.
• Provide application support, trouble shooting, debugging, maintenance, and enhancement for deployed solutions.
• Monitor application performance and identify opportunities to improve functionality, efficiency, and user experience.
• Ensure applications are developed with appropriate consideration for security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Keep up to date with AI, software development, and automation technologies relevant to the logistics industry.
• Perform other IT-related duties and projects as assigned by Management.
