Job summary

AJI INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a skilled Heat-Treat Technician to operate vacuum furnaces for heat-treat and brazing tasks. You will maintain logs, perform incoming inspections, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a NITEC/Technical Certificate in Mechanical/Precision Engineering and 1–3 years of metal or aerospace experience, with strong attention to detail and good communicatie skills.

Qualifications

• NITEC / Technical Certificate in Mechanical / Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of related experience in Metal / Aerospace environment.
• Ability to read and interpret operation sheets and follow complex instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and good communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum furnaces to perform heat-treat and brazing operations.
• Maintain heat-treating logs for all furnaces and parts.
• Perform incoming inspection prior to Heat-treat part.
• Plasma preparation such as Mask, Grit blast, machine set up as per work instruction.
• TPM check on machines.
• Perform SAT and Uniformity check.
• Carry out leak rate check on Vacuum furnace.
• Select and verify the Heat-treatment program.
• Interpret chart paper.
• Resolve abnormal situations on parts and furnaces.
• Follow work instructions and safety rules, maintain good housekeeping.
• Complete production paperwork and system transactions.
• Adhere to all work instructions and PPE requirements.
• Perform tasks in priority order as instructed.
• Report nonconformances to Cell Leader.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum furnaces to perform heat-treat and brazing operations.


• Maintain heat-treating logs for all furnaces and parts.


• Perform incoming inspection prior to Heat-treat part.


• Plasma preparation such as Mask, Grit blast, machine set up as per work instruction.


• TPM check on machines.


• Perform SAT and Uniformity check.


• Carry out leak rate check on Vacuum furnace.


• Select and verify the Heat-treatment program.


• Interpret chart paper.


• Pick up and make appropriate action to resolve if there is any abnormal situation/condition both on part and Furnaces.


• Follow work instructions, comply with all quality requirements and safety rules and regulations during course of duties.


• Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area.


• Complete production paper work and systems transactions.


• Understand and adhere to all work instructions associated with the work performing.


• Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations during course of duties. ( Proper PPE)


• Perform jobs in priority order unless instructed otherwise.


• Perform and complete the operation performing IAW the required technical data referred to in job traveler. (operation sheets, engine manuals, OEM SPM’s, written instructions from engineering)


• Report nonconformance’s related to parts, paper work, equipment, tooling or materials to the immediate Cell Leader.

Requirements

• NITEC / Technical Certificate in Mechanical / Precision Engineering or equivalent


• At least 1 – 3 years’ related experience in Metal / Aerospace environment


• Must be able to readand interpret operation sheets and follow complex instructions and/or directions.


• Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, good communications skills
