Job summary

ST Engineering in Singapore is seeking Software Engineer(s) to join a dynamic team focused on aerospace and defense software. You will execute the full SDLC, designing, developing, and maintaining mission-critical software for aircraft applications.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead real-time software development, participate in DevOps activities, and ensure quality through testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Singapore citizenship is required.
• Entry level candidate are welcome to apply.
• Proficient in programming languages / frameworks such as C/C++, Python and Dot Net.
• Expertise in production-quality, scalable, multi-threaded systems.
• Able to apply Object Oriented Software design patterns effectively.
• Proficient in identification of code smells and refactoring.
• Familiarity with Agile, version control, software test frameworks and testing techniques.
• Knowledge in DevOps / DevSecOps practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated, independent and results-driven with quick learning.
• Experience with network troubleshooting/security tools and distributed systems concepts would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, JSON, XML and XPath is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define software specifications for aircraft mission-critical systems.
• Lead design and development of robust, scalable software that meets aerospace standards.
• Lead real-time software, data processing software, and control systems for onboard/offboard aircraft applications.
• Oversee testing and validation to ensure reliability, safety, and performance.
• Lead DevOps/DevSecOps activities including CI/CD and security enhancements.
• Document design processes, development, testing, analytics, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct code reviews and foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Work with hardware/firmware and avionics engineers to integrate software with onboard systems.
• Stay updated on aerospace technology and industry standards to drive innovation.
