Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is seeking a hands-on technician to set up and operate shot peening, media finish and balancing machines. You will read SOPs, perform risk assessments and maintain 6S lean practices in a safety-driven environment.

Requirements include a NITEC in Precision/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering, 2 years in related manufacturing processes, and willingness to work permanent night shifts with overtime as needed. Onsite roles with full-time responsibilities are offered.

Qualifications

• NITEC in Precision, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in Shot Peening/ Media Finish/ Balancing.
• 2 years of experience in Manufacturing, Precision Engineering or Machining.
• Comfortable with hands‑on work to operate with tools/equipment.
• Understand basic technical instructions and SOPs.
• Meticulous with an eye for detail and hands‑on approach.
• Willing to work permanent Night Shift and overtime on need basis.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain shot peen, media finish, balancing machines.
• Perform simple troubleshooting of machines.
• Read and follow established procedures and work instructions.
• Perform risk assessment and take corrective actions as well as preventive measures.
• Maintain day to day 6S lean activities to create a safe work environment.
• Work cross functional to support the various manufacturing processes.
• Participate in the EH&S programs and take personal responsibility to ensure safety adherence.
• Support the continuous improvement programs, CORE activities and additional tasks assigned by supervisor.
