Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is seeking a skilled Machinist for onsite work in Singapore. You will operate conventional machining equipment, interpret drawings, and verify dimensions using precision tools to ensure parts meet OEM specifications.

Experience in aircraft engine industry and willingness to work rotating shifts are required. The company offers development opportunities and transport support as part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• GCE O/N level or equivalent with NITEC in Precision/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering.
• Prior experience in Aircraft Engine Industry required.
• Able to work weekly rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate conventional machining equipment (manual lathe, bores, milling, EDM).
• Perform machining dimensional fits & clearance checks per OEM manuals (CIR, MM, SPM).
• Perform bench repair work (blending, inserts & broken stud replacement).
• Interpret machining dimensions and refer to technical drawings.
• Inspect work using micrometer, vernier caliper and dial indicator to verify specifications.
• Assist line supervisor in daily operations to achieve production targets and discipline.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Workshop Engineer/Manager.
