Job Description

Implement the applications roadmap; identify and resolve issues that have organization‑wide and long‑term impact. Make breakthroughs in design, development, testing, debugging and implementing software applications or specialized utility programs in support of end users’ needs on platforms.

Design and implement application build, release, deployment and configuration activities. Conduct automated testing to ensure the software remains functional and manage releases of software application versions and features. Design and formulate technical specifications and deliver platform requirements for UI/UX. Train end users on the usage of the applications.

Responsibilities

• Execute approved application software roadmap and support the architect in executing protocols for functional applications.
• Work with business users, customers and application groups to identify requirements, estimate development effort and prioritize requests.
• Design, develop, configure software solutions and integrate them with other applications and platforms.
• Perform script maintenance and updates to accommodate changes in requirements or implementation.
• Set up and maintain test environments for manual and automated testing and participate in UAT activities, providing feedback and recommendations for improvements.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including RPA, and find solutions to weaknesses identified in the current architecture.
• Support the definition of transition plans from current to future software architecture, breaking plans into actionable steps for specialist teams.
• Participate in ongoing architecture quality reviews and work with the security team to meet security standards and reduce breaches.
• Explore emerging technology, industry, and market trends to drive breakthroughs and innovation.
• Manage releases of software application versions and features, execute BCPs as directed, and train end users on application usage and enhancements.
• Lead and manage the UI/UX design for various platforms or applications, ensuring consistency and alignment with the overall concept.
• Formulate technical specifications and delivery platform requirements for UI, develop processes incorporating industry standards and best practices, and create prototypes for UIs.
• Oversee the implementation of UI, evaluate its effectiveness, recommend modifications, and define standards for user‑centric design, information architecture, and usability.
• Determine refinements based on usability testing results and design and execute studies into user behaviour and attitudes.
• Generate early‑stage ideas on user experiences.
• Document processes, test results, and other key elements surrounding software architecture, application design, integration, and testing guidelines.
• Prepare documentation for UI/UX design implementation, comply with standards, and generate reports and statistics for troubleshooting and impact analysis.
• Write user guides and SOPs for applications and enhancements.
• Utilize Agile project management methodologies to manage projects, lead or participate in Scrum teams, and remove impediments for team members.
• Evaluate the feasibility and cost‑effectiveness of solutions recommended by vendors or sub‑contractors, lead review sessions with stakeholders, and manage the delivery of coding tasks.
• Perform user setup, deactivation, and configuration for global and regional teams; troubleshoot and resolve application configuration issues.
• Monitor data hygiene and work with regional super‑users to ensure data integrity for reporting purposes.
• Leverage declarative programming to build automation processes, deliver visualizations via dashboards, and research design integration patterns to automate business processes and exchange data between enterprise applications.
