Job summary

Micron Singapore invites students to join its University Internship Program across engineering functions at Fab10 Woodlands and MSB Bendemeer. Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Excel, JMP, Minitab, Python, SQL, Power BI, or similar analytical tools is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, automation tools, or AI-enabled workflows is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated interest in engineering, manufacturing, technology, and the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities

Project allocation will be determined based on business needs, technical fit, and project availability.

Project Title

Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects across multiple functions and organisations, with project assignments aligned to business priorities and individual strengths.

Project Description

This internship supports engineering teams across Micron Singapore in improving manufacturing processes, equipment performance, yield, quality, reliability, and operational efficiency. Successful candidates may be assigned to projects within Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Yield Engineering, Process Integration, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering functions.

As multiple projects are available across different functions and organisations, shortlisted candidates will be introduced to the relevant project opportunities during the interview process and matched based on their technical background, interests, and business requirements.

Where applicable, interns may utilise Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, automation technologies, advanced analytics, or digital manufacturing tools to improve engineering efficiency and decision‑making.

Objective of the Project
  • Improve manufacturing processes and operational performance.
  • Support equipment optimisation and reliability initiatives.
  • Analyse production data and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop engineering solutions to improve yield, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Support continuous improvement and operational excellence activities.
Opportunities for Full Time Employment

High‑performing interns may be considered for future internship, return internship, New College Graduate (NCG), or full‑time employment opportunities, subject to business requirements and performance.

Project Scope
  • Interns will analyse engineering and manufacturing data to identify opportunities for process, quality, yield, or equipment performance improvements.

Duration of Period

Ideal candidates should be able to commit to a full‑time internship period of at least 4 months.
