Job summary

CLEANTEC ENGINEERING (S) PTE LTD, Singapore, is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to design ACMV systems for cleanrooms and controlled environments. You will work on heat load calculations, air change rates, and pressure/temperature control, and you will specify equipment like AHUs, MAUs, FFUs and filtration.

You will review client specs, prepare drawings, coordinate with electrical and process teams, and supervise site installation to ensure compliance with drawings and ISO 14644 and

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of SS 553, SS 554 and ISO 14644.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit/BIM or load calculation software (HAP, Trace) is an advantage.
• Familiar with BMS/controls for ACMV systems.
• Good communication and coordination skills with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Able to work on site and travel to project locations.
• Cleanroom, semiconductor or pharmaceutical project experience is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review ACMV drawings, ductwork and piping layouts, schematics and equipment schedules.
• Review client specifications and tender documents, raise technical queries, and support costing and tender submissions.
• Coordinate with electrical, controls, architectural and process teams to resolve interface issues.
• Supervise subcontractors and site installation to ensure drawings and specifications are met.

CleanTec is a Singapore-based specialist in cleanroom and controlled-environment design and build. We deliver projects for clients in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biomedical and electronics industries, covering everything from design through installation, testing and handover.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design ACMV systems for cleanrooms and controlled environments. This includes heat load and airflow calculations, air change rates, and pressure cascade and temperature/humidity control.
• Select and size equipment such as AHUs, MAUs, FFUs, HEPA/ULPA filtration, chillers, fans and exhaust systems.
• Prepare and review ACMV drawings, ductwork and piping layouts, schematics and equipment schedules.
• Review client specifications and tender documents, raise technical queries, and support costing and tender submissions.
• Coordinate with electrical, controls, architectural and process teams to resolve interface issues.
• Supervise subcontractors and site installation to make sure work meets drawings and specifications.
• Manage material submissions, shop drawings and approvals.
• Plan and carry out testing, adjusting and balancing (TAB), commissioning, and cleanroom certification tests to ISO 14644 (particle count, airflow, pressure, recovery).
• Prepare as-built drawings, O&M manuals and handover documents.
• Make sure designs comply with SS 553, SS 554, SCDF fire code requirements and client standards.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of SS 553, SS 554 and ISO 14644.
