Job summary

Cogent Holdings Pte Ltd is seeking an Accounts Executive in Singapore to prepare monthly financial reports for the group, assist in budgeting and year-end closing, and support treasury activities.

The candidate should hold a Degree in Accountancy, be able to read Chinese for HQ reporting, and bring audit, treasury and data-driven reporting experience. 5-day work week with transport from Jurong East, daily meal subsidy, and medical/dental benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Able to read and write reports in Chinese for HQ reporting.
• Experience in financial audit in an audit firm is an advantage.
• Experience in treasury and reporting functions is an advantage.
• Strong hands-on experience in financial and management reporting.
• Analytical skills for data-driven reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports for Cogent Holdings Pte Ltd and group entities.
• Assist in budgeting and year-end closing processes.
• Perform treasury functions and cashflow forecasting.
• Prepare ad-hoc accounting and reporting requested by HQ China.
• Assist superior with additional reporting tasks as needed.

About the role

The Accounts Executive will be responsible to prepare monthly financial reports, assist in budget, year-end closing and perform treasury role for Cogent Holdings Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Cosco Shipping International (Singapore) Co., Ltd and owner of one of Singapore's largest one-stop integrated logistics hub, Cogent 1 Logistics Hub.

Accounting and Reporting:

1. 1. Review, ensure timely and accurate reporting of Malaysia entities accounts (including audit schedules, sales report, monthly analysis, budget etc.)
2. 2. Assist to perform group and entities' monthly closing using a Chinese reporting system, and ad-hoc accounting reports.
3. 3. Assist to meet the Group Chinese Reporting requirements and deadlines.
4. 4. Assist in performing Annual Budget for Group and Entities.
5. 5. Assist in performing Year-End Closing for Group and Entities.
6. 6. Assist to complete the minor reports required by HQ China.
7. 7. Assist the superior in ad-hoc reporting tasks as and when assigned.

Treasury Matters:

1. 1. Assist the Group Corporate Treasury functions on daily basis.
2. 2. Prepare Group monthly Treasury report and HQ treasury report.
3. 3. Prepare monthly cashflow forecast for the Group and Entities.
4. 4. Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

About you

1. 1. Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
2. 2. Able to read and write report in Chinese for reporting to HQ.
3. 3. Possess financial audit experience in an audit firm is an advantage.
4. 4. Experience in treasury and reporting function is an advantage.
5. 5. Strong hands-on experience in financial and management reporting.
6. 6. Analytical skills in the development of data-driven reports are a plus.
7. 7. Demonstrate ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
