Job summary

INTUIT RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. client in the M&E Engineering sector is seeking an Accounts Executive to join their team in the Northeast region (Nearest MRT: Punggol Coast). The role involves handling full sets of accounts, GST, and reporting, with basic salary plus bonus.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6pm. Prior experience with Xero and SFRS is preferred for timely month-end closures and audit support.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience using Xero Accounting Software is required.
• Good knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), GST, and basic tax regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Prior experience in the construction, engineering, consultancy, or M&E industry will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Handle the full set of accounts, including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, journal entries, and schedules to support month-end and year-end closing.
• Process supplier invoices, payments, staff claims, and customer billings accurately and on time.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all accounting transactions are properly documented.
• Perform GST preparation and support tax-related submissions where required.
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities.
• Reconcile bank statements, intercompany balances, and other financial records.
• Maintain and update accounting records using Xero Accounting Software.
• Support budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial reporting activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
• Provide administrative and finance support as assigned by management.
