A leading energy shipping firm in Singapore is seeking a Financial Accountant to support financial accounting, taxation management, and reporting functions. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, along with familiarity with Singapore's tax policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel. A positive attitude and ability to collaborate across borders are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
Execute company credit policies in compliance with departmental management requirements.
Handle daily accounting tasks , including bookkeeping, reconciliation, and partner-related accounting.
Prepare financial reports and statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare cash and bank balance reconciliation statements and conduct periodic account reconciliations.
2. Financial System Management
Manage and maintain AR/RV modules in the business-finance system and shared finance platform.
Ensure proper posting, updating, and verification of financial data in the system.
3. Taxation Management
Responsible for GST declaration, audit, and compliance with Singapore tax regulations.
Manage tax-related activities to ensure adherence to local financial policies.
4. Financial Management Support
Assist in overall financial management.
Support special financial projects and ad-hoc assignments as required.
Liaise and coordinate with external agency service departments.
5. Other Duties
Undertake other tasks assigned by management to support company operations.
Job requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
2. Prior experience in financial accounting, preferably within a Chinese state-owned enterprise, is advantageous.
3. Experience in an accounting firm or holding a CPA certification is a plus.
4. Solid understanding of Singapore’s tax policies and accounting standards.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiar with financial/accounting systems.
6. Quick learner with a strong sense of responsibility.

8.Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-border environment.
