Job summary

Finova BPO PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced accountant to manage full set of accounts for a portfolio of clients, including month-end closings and financial reporting.

You will handle day-to-day outsourced finance functions, compile statements in line with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, and support advisory projects.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in audit or outsourcing, a degree in accountancy or equivalent, and strong IT/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience in external audit, accounting outsourcing or fund administration.
• Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
• Clear thinker with good time management and communication skills.
• Familiar with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• IT skills including accounting software and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts for a portfolio of clients, individually or with assistants.
• Manage month end closing for a portfolio of companies.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
• Oversee day-to-day outsourced finance functions including AP and payroll.
• Consolidate simple to complex group accounts.
• Compile financial statements under Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
• Assist in financial management services and advisory projects.
• Take on ad-hoc assignments as needed.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle full set of accounts of a portfolio of clients individually or supported by assistants;
• Handle Month end closing for a portfolio of companies;
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packages;
• Handle day to day outsourced finance function, including AP processing and payroll;
• Consolidation of simple to complex group accounts;
• Compilation of financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards;
• Assist in providing financial management services;
• Solve complex accounting issues from time to time;
• Assist in consultancy and business advisory projects;
• Undertake ad-hoc assignment from time to time.

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS REQUIRED

• At least 2 years experience in external audit, accounting outsourcing practice and/or fund administration & fund accounting service provider.
• Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, CPA or their equivalent;
• Have clear thinking, committed, meticulous, good time management, resourceful, proactive, able to work independently, effective verbal and written communication skill, honest and resilient.
• Familiar with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;
• IT skillset, knowledge of accounting software, RPA and other modern automation tools are highly desired.
