Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience including exposure to POC / contract accounting.
• Background in project-based industries such as construction, engineering, infrastructure, or energy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle full-set accounts including general ledger, bank reconciliations, and accruals.
• Support month-end and year-end closing with journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist revenue recognition for long-term contracts using POC per IFRS 15 / SFRS(I) 15.
• Track project costs, maintain WIP schedules, and prepare project profitability reports.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather cost data and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasts, and monthly management reports.
• Support statutory audits, GST filings, and tax submissions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.

Our client, an established industry leader delivering large-scale projects across the region, is seeking a hands-on Accountant to join their finance team in Singapore. In this role, you will support day-to-day financial operations, with a focus on project revenue and cost accounting.

This role offers strong learning exposure to long-term contract accounting and the opportunity to grow within a dynamic, expanding business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle full-set accounts, including general ledger, bank reconciliations, and accruals
• Support month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with revenue recognition for long-term contracts using the percentage-of-completion (POC) method, in line with SFRS(I) 15 / IFRS 15
• Track project costs, maintain work-in-progress schedules, and prepare project profitability reports
• Work with project teams to gather cost data and resolve discrepancies
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and monthly management reports
• Support statutory audits, GST filings, and tax submissions
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA or CA progress is an advantage
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, including exposure to POC / contract accounting
• Background in project-based industries such as construction, engineering, infrastructure, or energy is preferred
• Good working knowledge of accounting software and strong Excel skills
• Meticulous, organised, and able to meet deadlines
• Good communication skills and a team player
