Job summary

CL TAMPINES PTE. LTD. is seeking an Accountant or Senior Accountant to manage full accounting services for SME clients. You will work closely with Directors in a collaborative environment, focusing on quality work and professional development rather than billable hours.

The role requires hands-on Xero experience, strong knowledge of full sets of accounts, and GST/tax familiarity in Singapore. You will support processing, reporting, and liaising with auditors and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline.
• 2 years of relevant accounting or audit experience for Accountant; 4+ years for Senior Accountant.
• Hands-on Xero accounting software experience.
• Strong knowledge of GL, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations.
• Familiarity with Singapore GST and tax filing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain full sets of accounts for multiple SME clients, from bookkeeping to financial statements.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing procedures with journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts receivable/payable, bank reconciliations, and GL maintenance in Xero.
• Prepare GST returns (F5/F7) and ensure IRAS submissions.
• Assist in preparing unaudited financial statements per SFRS Singapore.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents and regulators as needed.
• Support clients with ad hoc accounting queries and analyses.
• Contribute to streamlined workflows and process improvements.

Role Description

We are looking for an Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our growing team. You will handle the full spectrum of accounting services for a portfolio of SME clients, working closely with the Directors in a supportive and collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who values professional growth over billable hours - there are no timesheets or revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain full sets of accounts for multiple SME clients, from bookkeeping through to finalisation of management accounts and financial statements.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance using Xero.
• Prepare GST returns (F5/F7) and ensure timely IRAS submissions.
• Assist in the preparation of unaudited financial statements in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies as required.
• Support clients with ad hoc accounting queries, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Contribute to process improvements and the development of standardised workflows for the team.

Job Requirements

(Must Have)

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or audit (Accountant); 4+ years for Senior Accountant.
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software (hands-on experience required).
• Strong working knowledge of full set of accounts, including GL, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations.
• Familiarity with Singapore tax filing requirements and GST compliance.
• Meticulous, well-organised, and able to manage multiple client portfolios independently.

(Good-to-Have/ Preferred)

• Knowledge of corporate secretarial matters (e.g. ACRA filings, annual returns, board resolutions).
• Understanding of Singapore corporate and personal tax (e.g. Form C-S, ECI, IR8A).
• Prior experience in a professional services or outsourced accounting environment.
