MICHAEL PAGE (PERSONNEL) PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced Accountant for a 12-month, part-time contract (3 days per week) to support month-end close, reporting and controls. You will manage Singapore, China and Malaysia accounts and collaborate with a regional finance team.

The ideal candidate has a degree in accounting/finance, 3+ years in a multinational setting, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems. CPA/CA/ACCA is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of accounting/finance experience, multinational preferred.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and month-end close.
• Experience with ERP systems; Sage 300 advantageous.
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with prioritisation and deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual close activities, including journal preparation and reconciliations.

• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls and reporting standards.

• Provide ad hoc accounting and analytical support to the wider finance team.

Job Description

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial close activities, including journal preparation and account reconciliations.
• Handle accounts for Singapore, China and Malaysia.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules and variance analysis to support management reporting requirements.
• Assist with accruals, intercompany transactions, general ledger maintenance and other operational finance activities.
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls and financial reporting standards.
• Support internal and external audit processes, maintaining accurate financial documentation.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, system enhancements and finance-related projects.
• Provide ad hoc accounting and analytical support to the wider finance team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Accountant' should have:

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of accounting or finance experience, ideally within a multinational environment.
• Sound knowledge of financial accounting principles, reconciliations and month-end close processes.
• Experience working with ERP systems; exposure to SAGE 300 or similar platforms is advantageous.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver accurate results within deadlines.
• Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, CA or ACCA will be a plus.
