Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking an Accountant to support the Finance Manager and collaborate with the accounting team on day-to-day and strategic financial matters for the Company.

You will coordinate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, perform balance sheet reconciliations, assist with audits, tax filings, and drive process improvements across finance and related departments.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with accounting team in Malaysia to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes
• Detail review Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation prepared by accounting team to ensure no unreconciled items
• Lead accounting team for any ad-hoc project
• Analyse financial performance and provide variance analysis
• Provide financial/accounting support to other departments/ business units
• Prepare withholding tax return, GST return, declaration and related documentation requested by the tax authority
• Review, enhance, participate, and implement financial and control process improvement
• Treasury function - Liaise with banks for banking matters
• Plan and co-ordinate for quarterly and year-end stock take
• Plan and co-ordinate for year-end fixed asset sighting
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, addressing the audit issues, working with the operation team to ensure the implementation of audit recommendations
• Assist for yearend tax filing
• Support the business and management in any business analysis, projects, initiatives, and other duties assigned.
