Job summary

Coface Singapore is seeking an experienced Accountant to join the Finance team. This role goes beyond routine accounting - the successful candidate will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial closing, driving operational excellence and accounting simplification with the shared service team, and supporting governance and control.

The position focuses on end-to-end accounting, tax, audit coordination, and collaboration with offshore teams to deliver compliant financial statements for

Responsibilities

• End-to-end accounting, tax, compliance & audit for Coface Singapore Branch.
• Month-end and year-end closing with GL, journal entries, reconciliations and proper filing of records.
• Prepare cash forecast and monitor forecasting accuracy; liaise with banking partner.
• Support budgeting process and monthly financial planning analysis vs. budget.
• Coordinate with external auditor & tax firm for timely financial statements and filings.
• Act as a level 1 control owner; collaborate with internal auditor, compliance officer and risk manager.
• Guide Shared Service Team in India; drive operational excellence and simplification initiatives.

MISSION

We are expanding Coface Finance team and looking for an experienced Accountant (Location: Singapore). This role goes beyond routine accounting - the successful candidate will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial closing, driving operational excellence and accounting simplification process with shared service team, and supporting finance governance & control.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for end-to-end accounting/tax/compliance & audit of Coface Singapore Branch
• Month-end and Year-end closing - Prepare general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and closing activities with support of Shared service team. Ensure timely closing activities and maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Cash forecast and actual monitoring - Prepare cash forecast for Coface Singapore Branch, ensure forecasting accuracy and act as key liaison with our banking partner
• Financial planning & analysis - Support Finance manager on budget process and prepare monthly financial planning analysis comparing actual and budget
• Audit & tax requirement - Coordinate closely with external auditor & tax firm to ensure completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and tax filings in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Internal audit, compliance, risk management - Be a level 1 control owner for Coface Singapore Branch and collaborate with internal auditor, compliance officer and risk manager
• Provide guidance and review work of Shared service team in India

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and/or audit.
• Proven experience in managing full-spectrum accounting within multinational corporations (MNCs).
• Demonstrated track record in driving operational excellence initiatives, including finance process improvement and simplification.
• Experience working with Shared Service Team (offshore/oversea team)
• Professional certification such as CPA Australia, ACCA, or Chartered Accountant (CA Singapore) is required.
