AD ASTRA CONSULTANTS PRIVATE LTD. invites an experienced Accountant to join a Singapore-headquartered food company managing daily accounting, intercompany activity, payroll, reporting and related administrative tasks.
The role covers full-set accounting, intercompany and group consolidation, payments, payroll processing, GST submissions and statutory compliance, with emphasis on internal controls and accurate documentation.

Our client is a Singapore-headquartered international food company developing and distributing consumer food products across multiple markets.
As the group operates through several companies and legal entities, it is looking for a hands-on Accountant to manage daily accounting operations, intercompany transactions, payroll, reporting and administrative matters.
Handle day-to-day accounting and maintain complete and accurate financial records.
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and journal entries.
Process supplier invoices, customer invoices, employee claims and expense reimbursements.
Perform monthly bank, balance-sheet and general-ledger reconciliations.
Support month-end and year-end closing and prepare management reports and schedules.
Maintain fixed-asset records, accruals, prepayments and accounting schedules.
Liaise with auditors, tax advisers, banks and other external parties.
Prepare and record intercompany invoices, debit notes, credit notes and expense recharges.
Monitor and reconcile intercompany balances across different group entities.
Record intercompany loans, capital injections, advances and internal fund transfers correctly.
Investigate and resolve differences between group entities promptly.
Support consolidation schedules and intercompany elimination entries.
Handle multi-currency transactions and related foreign-exchange adjustments.
Maintain proper supporting documents for all intercompany transactions.
Support management and external tax advisers with transfer-pricing calculations and documentation.
Prepare local and overseas payments through online banking platforms.
Verify invoices, purchase orders, bank details and approval documents before preparing payments.
Ensure that every payment follows the company’s authorisation and maker-checker procedures.
Independently verify changes to supplier bank details before payment.
Escalate unusual, urgent or unsupported payment requests to management.
Maintain complete payment records and a clear audit trail.
Assist in improving accounting procedures and internal controls.
Prepare monthly payroll information and process salary payments.
Handle CPF submissions, employee claims, IR8A and IR21 matters.
Prepare GST schedules and support quarterly GST submissions.
Support annual audits, tax filings and other statutory requirements.
Maintain employee payroll and financial records confidentially.
Coordinate with banks, insurers, vendors, customers and service providers.
Maintain company, accounting and administrative records.
Support insurance, government surveys and general office administration when required.
Assist management with other finance and administrative duties.
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
At least four years of relevant hands‑on accounting experience.
Experience handling a full set of accounts or substantial month‑end closing responsibilities.
Strong experience in AP, AR, bank reconciliation, invoicing, payroll and GST.
Practical experience with intercompany transactions and reconciliations is strongly preferred.
Exposure to multi‑entity, multi‑currency or international business environments would be an advantage.
Experience in food, FMCG, import/export, wholesale, distribution or trading businesses would be highly relevant.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting software.
Careful, organised and able to maintain accurate supporting documents.
Strong sense of responsibility, confidentiality and financial‑control discipline.
Able to work independently in a growing and hands‑on business environment.
The successful candidate should be dependable, detail‑oriented and confident enough to question transactions that do not have proper documentation or approval. The person must follow established controls even when a payment is urgent or requested by senior management.
