Job summary

Clermont Group in Singapore seeks a sharp, commercially grounded finance professional to apply accounting skills across multiple jurisdictions in line with regulatory requirements. The right candidate will be technically excellent, able to challenge Opco leadership on financial performance and drive change on the ground.

Responsibilities include day-to-day accounting, AP, month-end and year-end closings, financial reporting and tax returns, regulatory reporting, audits, and tax advisory support.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant qualification.
• Big 4 experience is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline.
• Good understanding and working knowledge of internal controls and financial governance.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft applications.

• Manage day-to-day accounting of entities assigned and be fully responsible for the Accounts Payable function.
• Perform the month end closing and preparation of the monthly financial reporting.
• Perform year-end closing of accounts and timely production of financial statements and tax returns.
• Ensure global and local accounting policies and standards are adhered to.
• Manage regulatory reporting requirements and deadlines such as annual audit and tax return process.
• Preparation of clear concise financial and analytical reports.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Support in tax advisory and optimisation projects, working with external advisers as required.
• Analyse financing options, as needed.
• Assist the Finance & Accounting team in special projects as and when required.

Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following traits:

• Chartered Accountant qualification
• Big 4 experience is a strong advantage
• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline
• Good understanding and working knowledge of internal controls and financial governance
• Highly proficient in Microsoft applications
• Meticulous and unfazed by impossible standards
• Have an opinion, but know when restraint is appropriate
• Able to earn the trust of both junior and senior colleagues
