Job summary

Future Electronics Singapore is seeking a capable accounting professional to manage accounting and statutory compliance for the Singapore entities. The role supports regional projects, including system migration and modernising the finance function through automation and AI-enabled tools.

You will handle general ledger, GST, financial reporting, audits, and assist with consolidation and implementation of automation initiatives while ensuring data confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree/Professional Qualification in Accountancy.
• 3–5 years of relevant working experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
• Proficient in MS Excel and Financial Systems Applications (Oracle/Hyperion/SAP).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform General Ledger accounting functions, ensure timely journal entries and month-end closing.
• Maintain fixed assets master data and accurate recording of transactions.
• Prepare GST returns and conduct compliance checks on business transactions.
• Support corporate tax compliance activities and transfer pricing documentation.
• Assist in consolidation reporting packages and liaise with external auditors.
• Support implementation of accounting system and automation initiatives.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve journal preparation, reconciliations and management reporting.

Job description

This position will be responsible for the accounting and statutory compliance functions for the Singapore entities. The role will also support key regional projects, including the system migration and modernizing the finance function by adopting automation and AI-enabled tools to improve accuracy, speed and control.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform General Ledger accounting functions, ensure timely preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation and month-end closing activities.


• Maintain fixed assets master data, ensure transactions are accurate and timely recorded in accordance to the Accounting Policy.


• Ensure timely preparation of GST returns in accordance to statutory requirements and conduct compliance checks on the business transactions.


• Support Corporate Tax compliance activities and transfer pricing documentation, including responding to tax queries and preparing tax schedules.


• Assist in the preparation of consolidated reporting packages and financial statements, including liaison with external auditors during the audit process.


• Support the implementation of accounting system and automation initiatives.


• Leverage AI-enabled tools (e.g. AI assistants, intelligent document processing and automated reconciliation) to improve the efficiency of journal preparation, account reconciliations and management reporting and review AI-generated outputs for accuracy.


• Identify, test and document automation and AI use cases within the accounting function, and support their rollout across the Singapore entities while observing data confidentiality and company policies.


• Perform any ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree/Professional Qualification in Accountancy with approximately 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience.


• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, with experience in financial reporting and statutory compliance.


• Proficient in MS Excel and Financial Systems Applications, experience with Oracle, Hyperion and SAP ERP is an added advantage.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimum supervision.


• Well-organized and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast paced environment.
