Job summary

Nova Measuring Instruments is seeking an experienced accountant for its China & SEA Finance team to strengthen accounting capabilities. The role reports to the China & SEA Finance Controller in a small, critical team.

Responsibilities include R2C process, payroll journal entries for SEA, intercompany reconciliations, month/quarter/year-end closes, and coordinating with external bookkeepers and auditors. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or relevant education.
• 5+ years related accounting experience.
• Well-organized with ability to work independently with min guidance.
• Responsible and accountable.
• Strong English and Chinese (Mandarin) capabilities, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate execution of Revenue-to-Collection (R2C) process per company policies and timelines.
• Review employee expense claims for compliance with policies and tax regulations.
• Coordinate and manage vendor payment runs with external bookkeeping providers.
• Support finance-related activities and projects assigned by the China Finance team.
• Prepare and record monthly payroll journal entries for SEA.
• Perform and reconcile intercompany balances with overseas entities; resolve variances.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing in the ERP system; ledger review and reconciliations.
• Work with external bookkeepers to complete monthly, quarterly, and annual close; prepare reporting packages.
• Prepare and maintain monthly cash flow forecasts for SEA region.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting across SEA entities.
• Monitor budget controls; support budget-versus-actual reviews and analysis.
• Maintain internal controls including SOX documentation.
• Coordinate with auditors during statutory and group audits; prepare schedules and docs.
• Perform ad hoc accounting, finance, and administrative tasks as assigned.

A small size team who plays critical role in the organization

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate execution of the Revenue-to-Collection (R2C) process in accordance with company accounting policies, procedures, and reporting timelines.
• Review employee expense claims to ensure compliance with company policies, local tax regulations, and supporting documentation requirements.
• Coordinate and manage vendor payment runs in collaboration with external bookkeeping service providers.
• Support finance-related activities and projects assigned by the China Finance team.
• Prepare and record monthly payroll journal entries for SEA.
• Perform and reconcile intercompany balances and transactions with overseas affiliated entities, ensuring timely resolution of variances.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities in the ERP system, including general ledger review and account reconciliations for SEA entities.
• Work closely with external bookkeepers to ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, including preparation of reporting packages under strict timeline.
• Prepare and maintain monthly cash flow forecasts for the SEA region.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements across SEA entities.
• Monitor budget controls by ensuring transactions are accurately recorded to the appropriate cost centers and accounts, and support monthly budget-versus-actual reviews and analysis.
• Maintain and enhance internal control processes to ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements, including SOX controls and documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders during statutory audits, group audits, and regulatory reviews, including preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Perform ad hoc accounting, finance, and administrative tasks as assigned
