Job summary

SAFRAN Electronics & Defense Services Asia PTE. LTD. invites an experienced Accountant to oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting, ensuring SAS/IFRS compliance and adherence to the Financial Manual.

You will participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, liaise with auditors and tax consultants, and contribute to budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting with at least 5 years of working experience in a similar role.
• Up-to-date knowledge of SAS/IFRS accounting principles and Financial Manual procedures.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience in an international group and reporting to overseas HQ.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.

About the role

Accountant role responsible for the full spectrum of finance and accounting responsibilities, ensuring compliance to SAS/IFRS accounting principles and Financial Manual procedures. The role involves participation in financial reporting through monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, liaison with internal and external auditors and tax consultants, and operating as part of an effective team contributing proactively to efficient team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Full spectrum of finance and accounting responsibilities
• Ensure compliance to SAS/IFRS accounting principles and Financial Manual procedures
• Participate in financial reporting; monthly/quarterly/annually closing process
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and tax consultants
• Perform Head-Office and statutory reporting; budgeting and cash flow forecast
• Perform test of controls and determines adequacy of internal controls and compliance with existing group policies
• Highlight non-compliance with Finance policies and identify gaps for improvement
• Responsible for annual group internal controls campaign
• Provide support to trade compliance and fraud awareness program within the company
• Comply with health, safety and environment (HSE) regulations as prescribed by law and company\'s policies

About you

• Degree in Accounting with at least 5 years of working experience in similar position
• Technically competent with up-to-date knowledge of financial reporting standards
• Able to work independently and effectively, under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Experience in international group and reporting to overseas HQ
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
