Job summary

Solstad Maritime AS in Singapore is seeking an experienced Accountant to join the Finance Department. You will handle month-end entries, reconciliations, and tax returns, reporting to the Finance Manager.

You should have 5+ years of accounting experience, CPA/CA qualification, strong Excel and NetSuite skills, and excellent communication. Experience in oil and gas industry is desirable.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification, CPA/CA part/fully Qualified.
• At least 5 years of experience as an accountant.
• High level of attention to detail, analytical ability, and proven technical accounting skills.
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and inter-personnel skills.
• Previous experience in Oil and Gas sector (desirable).
• Experience with NetSuite accounting software (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Preparation of full month end accounting entries; month end Journals, recharges, accruals, prepayments etc.
• Preparation of profit and Loss statements and analysis of monthly budget vs actual
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of quarterly GST returns
• Transfer vendor invoices to NetSuite
• Assist the Senior accountant in raising invoices to clients when needed
• Assist during Audit
• Assist during budget time in compiling information for budget
• Assist in preparation of annual income tax returns
• Assist in survey (mandatory) by the Department of Statistics Singapore

A vacancy currently exists for Accountant role within the Finance Department in the Singapore office. Reporting to Finance manager.
