Job summary

VML, part of WPP, is seeking an Account Manager in Singapore to support day-to-day client management and liaise with cross-functional teams to deliver on campaigns. The role emphasizes client relationships, effective communication, and delivery excellence across projects.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a client-facing role within a creative or communications environment, with solid presentation and writing skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of client contact experience in a creative agency or comparable environment.
• Experience in a client-service role is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to persuade and influence.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to create clear documents.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

What you’ll do:

• Supports all aspects of day-to-day account management including internal documents associated with each account
• Establish day to day working relationships with clients across portfolio to ensure that we can continue to grow our business and deliver
• Obtain key client information and transfer them accurately to project teams. Work closely with project teams to ensure effective scoping of work.
• Review team deliverables and provide oversight. Anticipate, proactively address and advise management on potential client or revenue issues.
• Works with Account Managers/Account Directors to develop and implement plans, build relationship and lead client thinking to ensure work efficiency and effectiveness
• Support the team to translate the client’s vision and needs into business requirements, coordinate with strategy, creative & project teams on required deliverables, and manage client expectations
• Provides excellent written and verbal business-communication skills
• Generating revenue & profit targets as defined for accounts
• Ensure executional excellence within timeline and manage invoicing according to the contractual terms
• Manage multicultural projects, coordinate teams and clients; spot risks and issues, support resourcing, control the schedule and budget
• Obtain key client information and transfer accurately to ensure effective scoping of work
• Build financial management skills, including preparation of billing and monthly projections for review
• Be a role model for stewardship between the client and the agency by balancing the account’s needs while avoiding unnecessary expenditures and negotiating required costs.

What you’ll need:

• Minimum 1 year of client contact experience in a creative agency, communications, or customer service environment; demonstrated impact on the communication and online strategy for major clients.
• MNC/Agency experience would be advantageous
• Outstanding ability to lead, convince, and inspire in a client-service environment; superior listening, interviewing, meeting facilitation, presentation, and writing skills.
• Must be proactive, a self-starter and an excellent communicator both verbal and written.
• Ability to create coherent and persuasive presentations with proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Possesses superior communication skills, both internal and client facing.
