Job summary

Tsao Foundation in Singapore invites applications for a Programme Executive (Active Ageing Centre). The role supports operations, program planning, befriending and buddying coordination, and promotion of preventive health practices.

You will engage seniors and the community, manage volunteers, document activities, and report results to ensure alignment with funding KPIs. This contract position is based at Whampoa and offers meaningful community health work.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in social services or community development.
• Experience in community development, outreach programs, or working with grassroots organizations.
• Experience in planning, organizing, and executing community programs, events, or activities.
• Experience in recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers for community programs a plus.
• Work experience in elder care, social work, or healthcare settings highly preferred.

• Maintain documentation and prepare reports for program monitoring and submission as required.

The Role

The Programme Executive (Active Ageing Centre) will support the centre’s operations, focusing on program planning, delivery, coordination of befriending and buddying services, and the promotion of preventive health practices.

Responsibilities

• Program Planning and Execution: Plan, organize, and implement programs and activities that align with funding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance the social and healthcare aspects for seniors.
• Community Development: Engage seniors and the broader community to foster community building efforts, encouraging active participation and social integration among seniors.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation and records necessary for program monitoring and prepare reports for submission as required.
• Information Dissemination: Develop informational materials for distribution to clients and volunteers to ensure clear communication of program details and objectives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute programs appropriate for seniors, ensuring alignment with funding requirements.
• Volunteer Management: Manage, supervise, and support volunteers, guiding them in executing programs and activities in alignment with funding KPIs.
• Community Outreach: Conduct outreach activities, including home visits and administering community screeners, to engage seniors and assess their needs.
• Befriending and Buddying Services: Coordinate befriending and buddying services for volunteers and seniors to foster social connections and support networks.
• Administrative Duties: Perform general administrative tasks required to fulfill job responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation of the AAC.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in relevant disciplines including social services and community development.
• Experience in community development, outreach programs, or working with grassroots organizations.
• Prior involvement in asset-based community development (ABCD) or initiatives that mobilize community resources
• Experience in planning, organizing, and executing community programs, events, or activities.
• Managing program logistics, participant engagement, and post-event evaluation
• Experience in recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers for community programs a plus.
• Work experience in elder care, social work, or healthcare settings (e.g., senior activity centers, community care organizations, nursing homes) highly preferred.
