Qualifications

Responsibilities

A.Engineer/Engineer/Consultant – Building Diagnosis and Built Heritage Conservation

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and innovative A. Engineer/Engineer / Consultant specializing in building assessment with expertise in non-destructive testing (NDT), drone operations, photogrammetry, and laser scanning. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering, architecture, or a related field and a passion for leveraging advanced technologies to assess and evaluate building conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Building Assessment and Analysis:

• Conduct thorough building assessments using non-destructive testing methods.
• Identify structural, material, or performance issues and provide recommendations for remediation.
• Perform visual inspections, diagnostics, and condition surveys to evaluate asset integrity.

2. Technology-Driven Data Collection:

• Operate drones for aerial inspections and photogrammetry to capture high-resolution imagery and data.
• Utilize laser scanning technology to create accurate 3D models of structures.
• Analyze and interpret data from advanced tools to generate actionable insights.

3. Project Management and Consulting:

• Collaborate with clients to understand project goals and deliver tailored solutions.
• Develop detailed assessment reports and presentations, including recommendations for maintenance or repair.
• Provide expert consultation on the application of NDT, photogrammetry, and other assessment technologies.

4. Collaboration and Innovation:

• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and construction professionals.

5. Compliance and Safety:

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronic, Civil, Structural, or related field), Architecture, Conservation or similar discipline.

Experience:

• Proven experience in building assessment, non-destructive testing, or structural diagnostics.
• Proficiency in operating drones, photogrammetry tools, and laser scanning equipment.

Certifications (preferred):

• Drone Pilot Certification or equivalent.
• Interest, experience or certifications in non-destructive testing methods
• Proficiency in software for photogrammetry and laser scanning (e.g., Pix4D, AutoCAD, Revit, FARO Scene etc).

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in advanced ndt technologies and data interprtation.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
