Job summary

GlobalFoundries Singapore PTE. LTD. is offering an internship program for students in Industrial, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering to join the Giga Fab Transformation Design Project.

You will gain mentorship, meaningful work, and exposure to semiconductor layout processes during a 20–24 week credit-bearing internship starting June 2026. You will support semiconductor cleanroom layout, maintain layouts in AutoCAD, optimize fab layouts, and move tools across fabs for space optimization, learning

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship
• This application is for students undertaking a 20-24 week credit-bearing internship from June 2026 onwards.

Project Title: Giga Fab Transformation Design Project

Objective: To support Giga fab transformation layout design for new technology.

Project Description

• Semiconductor cleanroom layout support
• Maintain and update cleanroom layout using Autocad software
• Optimize main fab and subfab layout
• Execute tools movement across fabs for space optimization

Project Outcome

Learnt about semiconductor cleanroom layout design and familiar with various equipment footprint.
