GlobalFoundries Singapore invites students for a 20-24 week internship in Implant Process Engineering. You will work with ion implantation, learn robust, manufacturable protocols, and apply PDCA to drive improvements.
You will gain exposure to failure analysis techniques such as SIMS and data analytics using JMP, participate in cost-benefit and productivity assessments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams under one-on-one mentorship.

Implant Process Engineering
To develop robust, high-volume manufacturable protocols for phosphorus-to-arsenic surface cleaning and conversion to mitigate phosphorus cross-contamination in arsenic-doped semiconductor wafers.
The intern will gain comprehensive exposure to semiconductor fabrication operations, with a focus on advanced ion implantation process engineering and fundamental equipment handling. Training will include application of PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology for continuous improvement. Additionally, the intern will be introduced to failure analysis techniques such as Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (SIMS) and data analytics using JMP software. The project will require the intern to perform cost-benefit and productivity impact assessments for proposed process solutions.
