Job summary

Yishun Innova Junior College seeks an experienced AV technician to lead setup and operation of sound and lighting for school events. You will train teachers and students to use AV equipment and oversee projectors, interactive displays, and PA systems across campus.

The role includes photography/videography support and management of digital signage content, with flexibility for events outside regular hours. Prior hands-on AV experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Higher Nitec in AV Technology, Media Production or related field preferred.
• At least two years hands-on experience with auditorium sound and lighting systems.
• Proficiency in digital audio mixers, wireless microphones and stage lighting controllers.
• Troubleshooting skills for projectors, interactive displays, digital signage and PA systems.
• Digital photography, videography and editing skills preferred.
• Strong communication to train staff and mentor students; flexible for events outside regular hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead AV setup and operation for events, assemblies, performances and rehearsals.
• Operate sound and lighting systems and train teachers and students to use AV equipment.

• Conduct termly preventive-maintenance checks and promptly troubleshoot hardware faults.
• Manage the Public Address system for morning assemblies and events.

Name of Authority: Yishun Innova Junior College

Contract Period: 1 January 2027, or the date confirmed after the Letter of Acceptance, whichever is later, to 31 December 2027.

Option period: 1 January 2028 to 30 June 2028. The tender indicates a tentative move to 21 Champions Way from 2028; the 2027 workplace is 3 Yishun Ring Road.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am to 5:00pm; Friday: 7:30am to 4:30pm. Each day includes a one-hour lunch break (42 working hours per week).
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays; start and end times may be adjusted by mutual agreement for college needs.
