Job summary

ExxonMobil in Singapore is seeking an Instrumentation/Control Systems Engineer to provide engineering expertise for safe and reliable operations at the Singapore Manufacturing Complex. You will assess, design and troubleshoot instrumentation systems, including field instruments, control valves and PLCs, and drive long-term equipment improvement projects.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field, good communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Systems or equivalent.
• Knowledge of equipment engineering specifications, standards and local codes.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise and support on Instrumentation for safe and reliable operations, maintenance and projects at the Singapore Manufacturing Complex.
• Prepare engineering assessments and designs, troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for instrumentation issues including field instruments, control valves and PLCs.
• Develop engineering solutions to address and resolve instrumentation issues.
• Manage long-term equipment improvement initiatives for the instrumentation fleet.
• Provide technical training in instrumentation as needed.

What you will do

• Provide engineering expertise and support on Instrumentation for safe and reliable operations, maintenance work and projects for Singapore Manufacturing Complex (Singapore Chemical Plant and Singapore Refinery).
• Prepare engineering assessments and designs, conduct troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis for instrumentation-related issues, including field instruments, control valves and programmable logic controllers.
• Develop engineering solutions to address and resolve issues.
• Manage long-term equipment improvement initiatives for the instrumentation fleet.
• Provide technical training in instrumentation as needed.

About you

Skills and Qualifications

• A good bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ElectronicEngineering, Instrumentation & Control Systems or equivalent;Candidates with no experience are welcome
• Sound knowledge in equipment engineering specifications and standards, as well as with industrial standards and local codes.
• An effective team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
