Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a 1 year contract Automation & Robotics Engineer to improve workflow in a manufacturing plant in Singapore. The role requires designing equipment and fixtures, developing experiments, and creating training materials for production.

You will guide software coding efforts, gather validation data, and deploy automation projects in cross-functional teams, with emphasis on Industry 4.0/5.0 initiatives and AI-powered solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or scientific field equivalent with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced computer skills; proficiency in Python, Power BI, and other programming languages.
• Knowledge of C# is advantageous.
• Experience with robotics foundation models, VLMs, VLA models and LLMs in industrial applications.
• Experience with Industry 4.0/5.0 robotics and AI projects.
• Automated equipment troubleshooting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design equipment, tools, fixtures to improve manufacturing processes using technical design skills.
• Develop experiments and tests to qualify and validate manufacturing processes; analyze results and prepare reports.
• Develop training and documentation for production to enable knowledge transfer.
• Provide technical guidance on software coding and development.

Jobscope :

• Design of equipment, tools, fixtures, etc. to improve manufacturing processes, employing technical design skills
• Develop moderately complex experiments and tests (including writing and executing protocols) to qualify and validate manufacturing processes; analyze results, make recommendations, and develop reports
• Develop training and documentation materials (e.g., work instructions) for production to enable the seamless knowledge transfer of project and manufacturing processes
• Provide technical guidance on software coding and development
• Assist in gathering validation data and deploying automation and process technology related projects
• Work in cross functional teams to reduce or eliminate risks, issues, concern
• Ability to adapt and learn new skills
• Other incidental duties assigned by Leadership

Requirement :

• Bachelor of Engineering or scientific field equivalent with 3 years of Relevant Experience
• Advanced computer skills required, proficient and applicable knowledge in Python, Power BI and other programmable languages
• Knowledge in C-Sharp (C#) programming language will be an advantage
• Experience on robotics foundation models, Vision Language Models (VLM), Vision Language Action (VLA) models and LLMs for real-life industrial applications will be a plus
• Sensitive to Industry 4.0 and 5.0 requirements, with prior experience leading projects in that capacity ie. robotic programming, AI assisted programming etc
