Job summary

The Supreme HR Advisory Pte Ltd is recruiting a Fire Prevention Engineer based in Singapore to oversee and supervise fire protection systems on site, with responsibilities spanning design alignment, coordination with authorities, and testing/commissioning.

Candidates should hold a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services and have at least 3 years of relevant experience; knowledge of water mist or foam systems is a plus. Salary ranges from SGD 3,500 to SGD 5,500 per month.

Qualifications

• Experience in Water Mist system and/or foam system is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise sub-contractors’ work progression according to shop drawings, method statements, materials and samples.
• Liaise with authorities, sub-contractors or clients on shop drawings, materials and samples.
• Review and align fire protection design drawings with design specifications and guidelines (Sprinkler, Fire Alarm, Hose Reel, Wet/Dry risers, Hydrants, Intercom).
• Identify discrepancies between M&E, structural, ID, architectural and client provisions.
• Manage and execute project as per the schedule.
• Attend meetings with contractors to address issues and update progress.
• Study and review drawings and specifications for compliance.
• Allocate work to supervisors and ensure tasks meet standards and SOPs.
• Plan and lead testing and commissioning of fire protection systems.
• Follow up with site/authority inspections and defect rectifications.
• Prepare OMM, training, and As-Built drawings for handover to client.
• Follow up with maintenance of fire protection systems during DLP.

Role:
Fire Prevention Engineer (Up to $5500)

• Singapore Based (Project location: Changi, Office at AMK)

• 5.5 Days work per week (8.30am - 5.30pm (Mon - Fri); 8.30am - 12.30pm (Sat))

• Salary: $3500 to $5500

• Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Building Services + Min 3 years of relevant experience

Job scope

To monitor and supervise sub contractors’ work progression according to shop drawings, method statements, material and samples

To liaise and work with relevant authorities, sub-contractors or clients on shop drawings, materials and samples

Review and align Fire protection design drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications and guidelines (Sprinkler System, Fire Alarm System, Hose reel System, Wet/Dry riser system, Fire Hydrant System, Fire person intercom system)

Knowledge in M&E and able to Identify discrepancies between M&E, structural, ID, architectural and client provisions

Manage and execute project as per the schedule

To attend meeting with contractors to address issues and update progress

Study and reviewing of drawings, specifications for compliance

Allocate work to supervisors and ensure jobs are correctly and properly achieved within standards and SOP.

Plan and lead testing and commissioning of the fire protection systems.

Follow up with site / authority inspections, defects rectifications of the fire protection work.

Plan and prepare OMM, training, As-Builts drawings for handing over of completed fire protection systems to client.

Follow up with maintenance of fire protection systems during DLP
