Job summary

The Construction Manager supports the Project Manager and coordinates construction work with general contractors and subcontractors on a daily basis to keep programs on track. Based at the Toa Payoh project site, you will drive safety, quality and timely delivery, review contractual documents, assess risks, and implement improvements to time, cost and quality metrics in line with the project plan.

You will mentor site teams and ensure adherence to Workplace Safety and Health policies throughout

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with at least 5 years in building projects and construction management with the main contractor.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of construction contractual documents for approvals and submissions.
• Identify construction requirements based on project size, scope and timeline.
• Verify the overall list of errors, defects and variations based on construction plans and drawing designs.
• Verify the completion of the overall list of errors, defects and variations.
• Assess the effectiveness of guidelines and procedures for commissioning and testing of components, equipment and systems.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and practices.
• Assess inspections to ensure compliance with organisational health and safety policies, processes and procedures.
• Conduct research on the latest developments in built environment trends and technologies.
• Assess viability of proposed continuous improvement initiatives to improve time, cost and quality management.
• Implement risk management plans and risk controls in alignment with the organisation's risk management framework.
