Job summary

Capgemini AB in Gothenburg is looking for a wire harness engineer to join their Mechanical & Physical engineering team. The role involves supporting automotive clients and transforming product concepts into production-ready solutions.

With a background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive engineering and experience in wiring harness design, you will have the chance to manage several projects simultaneously. The position offers flexible work arrangements and a strong focus on career development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive engineering or similar field.
• Excellent English skills; Swedish is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a wiring harness designer.

Your Role

You will join the Mechanical & Physical engineering team in Gothenburg and work as a wire harness engineer towards our Automotive clients. As a consultant you will apply your experiences and knowledge in order to help our clients accelerate their product development and reach set goals.

Responsibilities

• Being responsible for developing your products from concept stage to introduction into serial production.
• Creating circuit diagrams and 3D models for commercial vehicles, performing digital and physical test assemblies, creating assembly instructions and handling deviations in production.
• Having the opportunity to work with several projects in parallel, ranging from new product development to maintenance and updates.

Profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive engineering or similar field.
• Excellent English writing and verbal skills; Swedish is meritorious.
• Experience as a wiring harness designer, min 2 years.
• Experience in CATIA V5 and/or CREO and/or Saber Harness.
