Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking an experienced Welding Inspector / Piping Quality Inspector to support a short-term project on-site in Sweden. The role focuses on welding inspections, verification of procedures and records, and QA documentation to ensure compliance with project quality requirements and HSE procedures.

The candidate should have 15+ years of site experience, relevant certifications (IWE/IWT/CSWIP), and strong knowledge of P&IDs, isometrics, and NDT.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of relevant site experience in industrial plant construction.
• Valid IWE/EWE, IWT/EWT, or CSWIP certification.
• Strong experience in piping erection, welding inspections, and pressure testing.
• Ability to read and interpret piping drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and quality documentation.
• Good level of English proficiency.
• EU nationality or Swedish residency/work permit.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding inspections during fabrication and erection activities.
• Verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and inspection records.
• Conduct visual inspections of piping systems and welded joints.
• Monitor piping installation activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes.
• Review and manage NDT reports and inspection records.
• Witness hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests.
• Verify test package completion and turnover documentation.
• Monitor punch list close-out activities.
• Prepare inspection reports and QA/QC documentation.
• Coordinate with construction, commissioning, client, and third-party inspection teams.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project quality requirements and HSE procedures.

Welding Inspector / Piping Quality Inspector

Project Context

Due to increased demand for welding inspections, piping quality control, test package verification, and quality documentation, an experienced Welding Inspector / Piping Quality Inspector is required to join the project team on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding inspections during fabrication and erection activities.
• Verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and inspection records.
• Conduct visual inspections of piping systems and welded joints.
• Monitor piping installation activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes.

Software Requirements

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with electronic document management systems
• Familiarity with quality management software
• Ability to navigate and review project 3D models

Requirements

Contract Duration

Immediate start until approximately mid/end October 2026, with the possibility of extension.
