Job summary

Prysmian in Nässjö, Sweden, is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead all warehouse and internal logistics at the plant. You will ensure safe, efficient flows of materials and finished goods to production and customers, drive inventory accuracy, and develop the warehouse team.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics or supply chain management in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Managing daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, material handling, picking, packing and shipping.
  • Ensuring uninterrupted material supply to production lines and support for customer delivery performance.
  • Optimizing warehouse space utilization, storage strategies and material flow.
  • Coordinating inbound and outbound logistics with transportation providers and partners.
  • Ensuring high inventory accuracy through stock control, cycle counting and SAP records.
  • Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies while minimizing losses and damage.
  • Supporting workforce planning, training, succession planning and employee engagement.
  • Ensuring compliance with Swedish regulations, HSE standards and company policies.
  • Driving Lean Manufacturing, Lean Logistics, 6S and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborating with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality and Customer Service teams.

Job description

We are looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our plant in Nässjö, Sweden. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for leading all warehouse and internal logistics operations within the cable manufacturing plant.

In this role, you will ensure the safe, efficient and cost-effective flow of raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished products and finished goods to support production and customer delivery requirements. You will drive operational excellence, inventory accuracy, safety compliance and continuous improvement initiatives, while leading and developing the warehouse team.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include

  • Managing daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, material handling, picking, packing and shipping.
  • Ensuring uninterrupted material supply to production lines and supporting customer delivery performance.
  • Optimizing warehouse space utilization, storage strategies and material flow.
  • Coordinating inbound and outbound logistics activities with transportation providers and logistics partners.
  • Ensuring high inventory accuracy through stock control practices, cycle counting programs and accurate inventory records in SAP.
  • Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, while minimizing stock losses, obsolescence and material damage.
  • Supporting workforce planning, training, succession planning and employee engagement within the warehouse team.
  • Ensuring compliance with Swedish regulations, company policies and HSE standards.
  • Driving Lean Manufacturing, Lean Logistics, 6S and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Collaborating closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality and Customer Service teams.

You Are The Right Fit If You Have/are
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and verbal.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading teams in an industrial environment; experience in a unionized environment is preferred.
  • Experience in warehouse operations supporting production environments.
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP, and warehouse management systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 6S and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
