Job summary

KPIT is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to design, validate and implement CtP battery production concepts across global sites. You will develop virtual manufacturing solutions and DFMA assessments to support product development and manufacturing readiness.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production Plants, and R&D, maintain digital models in Siemens Teamcenter, and drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and material flow across Body

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing process design within Body Shop and/or Battery Shop environments.
• Strong experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) methodologies.
• Proficiency in Siemens Teamcenter and Process Simulate.
• Experience in digital manufacturing, virtual validation, and manufacturing simulation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and implement manufacturing process concepts for battery Cell-to-Pack (CtP) production systems across global manufacturing sites.
• Create and optimize virtual manufacturing solutions for both manual and automated production processes.
• Perform manufacturing feasibility studies and Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/DFA) assessments to support product development.
• Develop and maintain digital manufacturing models, simulations, and process layouts using Siemens Teamcenter and Process Simulate.
• Verify product and process readiness through virtual validation, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, efficiency, flexibility, and production requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Production Plants, and R&D teams to secure robust manufacturing solutions.
• Support line balancing, ergonomics, material flow, and process optimization activities to improve operational performance.
• Contribute to the implementation of new products, technologies, and manufacturing processes in global production facilities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, manufacturing standards, and process specifications.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and manufacturing excellence.

Skills & Requirements

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing process design within Body Shop and/or Battery Shop (Cell-to-Pack) environments.

• Proficiency in Siemens Teamcenter and Process Simulate.
• Experience in digital manufacturing, virtual validation, and manufacturing simulation.
• Understanding of automated and manual production systems and assembly processes.
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles, production system design, and industrialization processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with robot offline programming.
• Knowledge of battery manufacturing processes, particularly Cell-to-Pack (CtP) technologies.
• Experience supporting global manufacturing projects and product launches.
• Familiarity with production line balancing, ergonomics, and material flow optimization.
