Virtual Manufacturing Engineer

Commodity Battery Cell Prep & Assy is a section within Manufacturing Engineering. We develop and implement quality-assured, flexible, and effective production systems across our battery plants, focusing on the Cell-to-Pack (CtP) battery architecture. The section works cross-functionally and project-oriented, supporting Production Plants and car programs globally. We are seeking a new member in the role of Virtual Manufacturing Engineer. As a Virtual Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of a Commodity Manufacturing engineering team, contributing to the preparation and implementation of products and manufacturing processes globally, both manual and automated. You will ensure product and process solutions are cross-functional within the Manufacturing Engineering organization, with our Production facilities and with Engineering (R&D). This role focuses on fulfilling manufacturing attributes and key performances, such as quality, line balancing, cost efficiency, environment, flexibility, and changeover.

Main Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of production systems.
• Implement product and manufacturing processes globally.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives within the Manufacturing Engineering organization.

Key Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in process design for body or battery shop (cell to pack).
• Experience in product design for manufacturing (DFA/DFM).
• Skilled in Siemens Teamcenter and Process Simulate.
• Experience in robot offline programming beneficial.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Technical education at university level or equivalent experience.
