VAROPreem is seeking a Vessel Operator to coordinate vessel deliveries from trade execution to final delivery. Act as a central contact between counterparties, vessel owners, terminals, and internal teams to ensure timely information flow and informed decisions.
The role emphasizes operational responsibility, international stakeholder management, and proactive problem-solving. On-site collaboration is valued, with four days in the office typical.
Do you thrive in a fast-paced, international environment where your decisions have a real impact?
As a Vessel Operator, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and reliable vessel operations while contributing to good customer service and efficient day-to-day operations.
As a Vessel Operator, you are responsible for ensuring seamless vessel operations from trade execution through to final delivery. Serving as the central point of coordination between counterparties, vessel owners, terminals, and internal stakeholders, you ensure that critical information flows efficiently and that informed decisions are made at every stage of the process.
This role offers a combination of operational responsibility, international stakeholder management, and dynamic problem-solving. Success in the position requires strong ownership, effective communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
We value working together in person and therefore expect team members to be in the office most of the week, typically at least four days.
Being on-site enables close teamwork, rapid decision-making, and strong engagement with colleagues, customers, and business partners.
As part of the Vessel team within Supply Chain Operations, you will coordinate assigned vessel deliveries throughout the entire supply chain, ensuring efficient execution and high service quality from start to finish.
You will work closely with Trading, Freight, Supply Chain Planning & Optimisation, Stock Accounting, Refineries, Terminals, and Supply Sweden. The role also involves regular interaction with customers, suppliers, agents, inspectors, and other external partners. As this is an international position, a significant portion of your daily communication will be conducted in English.
At VAROPreem, you will join a professional and supportive workplace where trust, accountability, and development are at the core of our culture. As the energy sector undergoes significant transformation, you will have the opportunity to contribute both to today's energy supply and to the development of more sustainable solutions for the future. We offer a high degree of autonomy and encourage employees to take initiative, challenge existing ways of working, and actively contribute to the continued development of our business.
You are able to maintain structure and deliver results in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly. You take ownership of your responsibilities while keeping the broader business perspective in mind. With a clear and confident communication style, you build strong relationships across functions and effectively manage a wide range of stakeholders.
You are proactive, solution-oriented, and resilient, while understanding when to seek support or escalation issues to ensure the best outcome.
A university degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an advantage, as is experience from the energy, refinery, terminal, or shipping industry. Relevant professional experience may be considered in place of formal education.
