Job summary

Consilium Safety Group in Gothenburg, Sweden, is seeking a UX Designer for a 1-year temporary assignment to own the user experience of our Safety Management System and support other products.

You will work independently with developers and domain experts to shape intuitive, reliable interfaces for safety-critical environments, ensuring usability, clarity, and robust edge-case handling.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex or safety-critical systems where usability is critical.
• Strong attention to detail and handling edge cases.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the user experience of safety-critical products.
• Work closely with developers and domain experts to design new functionality and evaluate existing workflows.
• Build an understanding of operational workflows, user needs, and system behaviours.
• Balance user needs, workflows, technical constraints, and safety requirements when designing solutions.
• Create design documentation describing flows, edge cases, exceptions, and state handling for implementation.
