Job summary

The European Investment Bank in Luxembourg seeks an Associate Sector Specialist - Urban Mobility to join the Urban Mobility Division and work in multidisciplinary teams assessing transport projects. You will evaluate technical, economic and financial viability to support robust investment decisions and EU climate objectives.

You will collaborate with senior staff and other services, with potential travel; relocation support is available.

Qualifications

Bachelor-equivalent degree in civil/transport engineering or related field.
At least 3 years of relevant infrastructure experience; transport sector preferred.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in industry or management consulting is advantageous.
Experience with quantitative methods, cash flow and cost-benefit analysis is a plus.
Excellent English and/or French; good command of the other language is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Assess and monitor technical, economic, financial and environmental viability of transport projects.
Support screening of projects for conformance with EU policy and EIB requirements.
Contribute to advisory activities for project implementation and mandates such as ELENA.
Collaborate with internal teams to monitor and report on portfolio performance.
Contribute to sector studies and maintain the unit cost database; assist senior staff.
