Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co is looking for an Underwriting Manager to lead a team of analysts and ensure business objectives are met. You will handle forecasting and pricing models while analyzing financial portfolios in an international environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of relevant experience and a university degree in a related field. Excellent English skills and proficiency in R and SQL are preferred. The position offers an opportunity for growth in a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as Senior Investment Analyst or similar role.
• University degree with high marks in an analytical/financial subject (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Economics).
• Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in R, SQL and other programming languages is welcome.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Statistical experience in dealing with large data sets and data modelling techniques.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Highly numerate, quick learner with problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Underwriting Manager

What will you do:

• Lead a small team of analysts to ensure knowledge transfer and business objectives are met.
• Run Forecasting and Pricing Models including sensitivities and interpretation of the results.
• Data processing, manipulation, analysis, presentation and interpretation of financial portfolio’s characteristics.
• Support and compile portfolio investment memorandums (IMs).
• Support portfolio valuations across different jurisdictions.
• Develop and maintain tools, models and materials to enhance portfolio analysis and valuation.
• Ensure good quality outputs, fit for purpose, excellent customer service and communication with different levels of stakeholders, take responsibility for deliverables and meet deadlines.
• Ensure deadlines are met without disruption to the business and the decision‑making process.
• Perform all other ad‑hoc tasks delegated by the Senior Underwriting Manager.
